Anne DeButte – Reconnect from Grief

www.reconnect-from-grief.com

As a former trained nurse, when I experienced my first death (my father) I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t focus, felt unable to make any decisions and quite frankly felt that “I had lost it”. It was then I realized, if I a former nurse, who had dealt with death and wasn’t afraid, couldn’t cope then how did others manage? It was this desire to help others that became my “big why” in starting a new business at 60.

I started Reconnect from Grief at 60, because if I a former nurse fell into Grief’s Abyss how did others cope? By demystifying grief I help professional women grieving the loss of a loved one find clarity and understanding so they cope effectively at work and home.

The company’s vision is to help educate to bring about a new understanding of what grieving is all about and not run away or deny it. This only brings on its own problems, which my clients learn about in the 12 stepping stones of the Heartbreak to Happiness coaching map.

The business is set up so that a percentage of income is set aside to go out to worthy causes, homeless youth, and women in shelters. I volunteer for charity golf tournaments that have raised $16,000 for local charities. I volunteer at the local church giving Healing Pathways hands on treatments to clients – many are ill or have cancer.
