Bill & Mary Kendrick – Experience PEI

Mary & Bill Kendrick are the owner/operators of Experience PEI. They provide unique experiential learning adventures that allow visitors the the opportunity to interact with interesting Islanders and make lifelong connections with the Island.

At ages 53 & 55 respectively, they started in tourism in 2002 when they completely restored a dilapidated century farmhouse in Fernwood, Prince Edward Island and opened Briarcliffe Inn as a 4 ½ star bed and breakfast which they ran up until June 2014.

In 2006, they developed Experience PEI initially to provide the guests at Briarcliffe Inn with something unique to do after they’d visited Green Gables, had a lobster supper and been to the beach. They started by creating 6 experiences.

Today, in partnership with a number Experience Providers, they offer over 30 different experiences across the Island for independent travellers, cruise and motor coach passengers as well as people coming to the Island for meetings and conventions.

Experience PEI is a multi-award winning company and in 2017 were recognized at the Canadian Tourism Awards as the Best Small/Medium-Sized Tourism Business in Canada.
