After training and working initially at Vidal Sassoon’s (Toronto) and working for over 35 years as a stylist in a number of different salons I have learned that hair stylists have the potential to be highly impactful in the lives of their clients.In early 20I4 began the process by undertaking a business course through “Grow Vantage.”

I started Connect Hair Studio at age 52. I strongly believed that a successful salon had to be strongly connected to the community and in June of 2014, the opportunity arose and I opened and incorporated Connect Hair Studio. Connect Hair Studio offers a full range of hair styling and colouring services. Our talented team of artists collaborate to provide the very best service possible that is uniquely tailored for each client.

In order to be successful I knew that I had to assemble a top team and I had to be willing to give back to the community that supported us. I have been strongly influenced by the work of Dr Lew Losoncy, a psychologist who has dedicated his career to the hair industry, who really helped me to understand how much impact we have on our clients. Our goal is to provide “More than a perfect haircut” and we see each of our clients as gifts to be treasured.

We are dedicated to the community and support many local fundraising events through time, gift baskets or both. Our annual Women’s Connection event raises an average of $5000 a year for our charity of choice, and is always chosen because of something brought to us by one of our clients.
