Lesley Greig & – THINK’n Corp

I worked for 30 years in the Mental Health Profession as a Crisis Mental Health practitioner for the St Joseph’s Community Healthcare. I worked with children, youth and their families, assessing Mental Health and Risk for Suicide, Stabilizing the crisis, advocating and connecting the individuals to the most therapeutic resources and supports available. I also worked for McMaster Children’s Hospital in the Mental Health Assessment Unit and the mental health in patient unit for children and Youth ages 6 to 17yrs of age.

I owned and operated a private practice (part time) for youth and their families called FAMILY MATTERS specializing in providing CBT and DBT to clients struggling with Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Suicide and Self Harm. I was (and continue to be) a Master ASIST trainer (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer) and provide(d) this training to the community and to organizations we service through my company THINK’n Corp.

I always loved what I did each day. It never really felt like work to me. I wanted to go to work…until the last 14 months when our unit at the hospital got a new manager. Everything changed for the worst. Leadership was a bully and things got bad. My morale compass would not allow me to keep coming into work in such an environment. I resigned.

At that time, at the age of 52, we were in the development stage of THINK’n Corp. So now my time would be dedicated to getting THINK’n Corp up and running successfully, to fulfill my life- long dream!!!

I love every minute of this business adventure! I feel confident and honored to spend each day consumed with what I am passionate about. I feel proud to bring this great program to all!

My partner and I wanted to bring the simple effective evidence informed teachings and strategies to the rest of the world. We used these CBT, DBT, EQ and Mindfulness strategies everyday in our clinical practice. First- hand we experienced (and were inspired) and motivated by how effective these strategies/techniques helped change lives for the better. This is what inspired us in creating the THINK’n Psychological health and safety e learning training.

We are proud sponsors of “One Woman”. A global social enterprise on a mission to help women and girls around the world to live their dreams and reach their full potential through entrepreneurship, skills training and education. I have recently applied as a sponsor to be a speaker at “One Woman Summit”. I am hoping to be chosen as a speaker.

THINK’n Corp has recently became involved with the “Badge of Life “charitable organization. We are donating at no cost our THINK’n Psychological Health and Safety e learning program to all individuals who are provided peer supports through the Badge of Life organization. Badge of Life is a peer-led 100% charitable volunteer organization committed to supporting police and corrections personnel who are dealing with psychological injuries diagnosed from service.
