I attended the University of Ottawa and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English and Bachelor of Education. I am a married mother of four adult children. I had worked in the design industry for over 10 years when I transitioned to media as a decor and lifestyle expert 12 years ago. Ottawa At Home media launched 2 years ago with purchase of Ottawa At Home magazine. .

I started Ottawa At Home media at the age of 52, when I bought Ottawa At Home magazine. I had worked for the magazine for seven years when the publisher decided to sell. I knew I had to either buy it or walk away from it as going to work for someone new was not an option for me at that stage of life! I loved the work I did, so I decided not to walk away.

Ottawa At Home has been the media sponsor for Homes for the Holidays in support of hospice care Ottawa for the past five years. We have been media sponsor for Easter Seals Dancing with the stars. We provide continued coverage for local charities within our Giving Back column and we offer several organizations free event advertising and advertising as auction prizes at charitable events. We worked with the Ottawa 2017 committee to promote a variety of Canada 150 events and were the media partner for Ottawa’s Inspiration Village. As editor in chief I host events for organizations including MC at Easter Seals Dancing with with the stars and The Greater Ottawa Home Builders Awards and provide magazines to several fundraising events throughout the year.

Since I purchased the magazine it’s advertising sales have increased significantly. The ten issues we have published have seen as little as a 15% increase in sales to as much as a 50% increase in sales in the past two years
