Wendy also believes in changing the perceptions of aging through the concept of the ‘Happier Aging’ program – care and activities that are extraordinary; not ordinary. Susan’s entry into the world of Home Care services was motivated by a personal experience when she had difficulty finding reliable and respectful care for her very ill mother. Several years later, after listening to many people’s similar concerns, Susan knew that the purchase of the Burnaby, New Westminster, and TriCities Nurse Next Door franchise would meet her expectations.

Susan and Wendy Scott purchased the Nurse Next Door franchise at the ages of 55 and 59 respectively. We purchased the business because we saw a great need to provide home care services that were beyond the scope of government funded care.

Sales growth is 10 to 13% year over year. Currently gross annual revenue is at $1.4 million.

Wendy & Susan are involved with Community through Health & Wellness presentations at all local community centres Burnaby, New Westminster & TriCities; and particpate in many other community events. They are also on committees and have received mulitple awards for their work.
