Dale McRae – Wrist Walk

My experience working in manufacturing and quality assurance industries for over forty years has provided me with the knowledge, skills and dedication to ensure Wrist Walk meets safety and quality standards. I wanted to transition into my retirement years by starting up my own company that would provide me with an income, satisfy my passion for the health, safety and well-being of our canine companions and manufacture a “proudly made in Canada” product.

I started Wrist Walk – Keep Your Dog Safe in 2017 at the age of 62. My most compelling reason for inventing Wrist Walk was to introduce a unique safety device that offers unparalleled safety for not only the dog but the dog walker as well. Serving as a “canine safety belt” (comparable to a seat belt), Wrist Walk gives dog walkers peace of mind knowing that their beloved pet is safely and securely close to them at all time

Based in Guelph, Ontario, I personally hand-sew Wrist Walk ensuring that each and every Wrist Walk shipped to the customer is carefully made with a money back guarantee.

As a one-year-old start-up company, the retail direction I am taking initially is through the website with Shopify as the e-commerce platform. When brand recognition is established, the goal is to market Wrist Walk to the franchise/retail pet product industry.

Pet Trust, Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and Guelph Wellington County Public Health Unit have embraced Wrist Walk for its concern for the healthy, safety and well-being of animals. These two institutions provide me with Pet Rescue Window Decals and Tick ID pamphlets that I hand out at pet-related trade shows, events and fairs.
