Marie-Chartrand – Greywave Senior Care Consutling

www.greywave.ca

I had no business experience. Only a drive to use my knowledge and experience working with seniors and their families. I joined the Centre for Women and Business and with its help and that of other entrepreneurs I built Greywave into a profitable social enterprise.

I started Greywave at age 53 as I transitioned out of the public service. By then, I had worked as a social worker with seniors and their families for almost 30 years and saw how they struggled with navigating care and transitions to old age and ill health. They needed individualized help to make transitions easier and less stressful.

I love taking families from a state of crisis to a state of calm determination when they have a plan in place to live a fuller and richer life.

My vision was and is simple: To be helpful to seniors and their families while making a modest income. I often serve as a resource and speaker for various organizations that help seniors, including libraries, churches, community groups, law firms, estate planning groups, financial advisors, and real estate agents.
