The Pivotal Point provides incubation-related consulting and coaching services to Universities and Colleges such as Ryerson University, Algonquin College, OCADU and Georgia State University, Wits University, South Africa, as well as towns and regions such as PEI, Cape Breton, Gananoque, and the City of Barrie, and with organizations such as Futurpreneur, SheEO, CSI, and others.

I started The Pivotal Point at age 61. I started the business to continue to help build the incubation ecosystems we need locally, nationally and internationally that enable people and planet to thrive.

In the summer of 2016, Valerie was appointed to be part of Minister Bains’ ISED Innovation Leadership committee. She also participates on a number of boards including: Futurpreneur, SheEO, StartupZone, PEI, The Imagination Catalyst, OCADU, Algonquin’s President’s advisory, Magnet, Quayside steering committee, and has participated on a number of others over the last 5 years including The Toronto Film Board, UBI Metrics, Interactive Ontario and Coalition Music.
