Who’s going to stand out in today’s marketplace and online world where there are thousands of us offering the exact same thing? What makes the difference between myself, or the hundred of other people across the Internet? Guest blogger, Danny Veiga weighs in on what you can do to get noticed in this overcrowded market.

There are 3 “be’s” to overcome the hurdle …

  • Become known
  • Become liked
  • Become trusted with your audience

… and there are 3 critical things that people look for when choosing someone to work with

  • They have to like the person
  • They have to know who they are
  • they have to gain, and build trust with them

Just because you’ve done X amount of work, or have done business with X Y & Z – doesn’t mean anything. You have to build relationships with others – even your competitors. Yup, that’s right, build relationships with e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e. You never know who that person is, or how they can affect your business in the future. Whether it’s 3 days from now, or 3 years.

The following 10 ways will help you become “known” in today’s super crowded world

Get focused on who your ideal customer is

Don’t market to everyone – not everyone is your ideal customer. You’re ideal customer should be laser focused so you can position your content for them.

Become an expert in your niche

Take advantage of today’s fast paced, content rich, internet driven world to let people know what you do. Use videos, articles, social media, etc… to prove yourself as the authority figure. Give your ideas names and labels – this will go far.

Push the right content

You don’t want to just put anything out there for your target audience project management system. You DON’T know your target audience until you research them. Ask questions, and then some more questions. Dig deep to make sure that the content resonates with your targeted niche.

Give something away for free

Use a lead magnet. Give away your BEST offer for free. I was afraid of giving my best knowledge away – but it was the best thing I could’ve done. You can package this into a video, an ebook, white paper, a report – so many different methods.

Go Global on social media

Put yourself out there where your targeted audience is. Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram – there are so many online platforms you need to go and find where your ideal audience hangs out. It could even be on old-school forums.

Build relationships with influencers

Who you know is always the name of the game. Use social networking and blogging to attract attention of influencers in your niche. Just don’t nag them to death!

Blog about it

Create a blog, write content and promote the content. Write about a topic in your niche – try to solve people’s problem with your content. Be unique in your perspective and give awesome advice to help someone who could be reading it.

Interview Experts

I’ve started to do this myself and it’s been working wonders! This allows you to tap into the audience of an influencer pretty easily, and align yourself with them.

Guest blogging

Contact relevant blog sites within your niche and pitch them an idea for content. It’s a quick way of putting yourself out there with their audience.

Be Creative

Digital marketing doesn’t have to be boring. It’s not just about writing 2000 words on an article and hitting publish. Use technology to its full advantage. Use Facebook Live & Facebook Ads, podcasts, infographics, case studies, webinars, ebooks and lead magnets.

The possibilities are really endless.
